Trans temp

What are is the danger zone on a trans temp. I installed a guage a while ago and need to know what temps to watch out for.

Depends on where you installed the temp probe.

I've seen 280 on mine, and can tell you unoquivocely(sp?) that is bad mojo.

There's a chart that's been posted numerous times with a bunch of temps, and tranny fluid life expectancy at that temp.

Maybe a search for tranny temp will produce it.
Found it, one of them at least.

I wouldnt do that!!
Pull over and idle in nuteral (or park if VB mods for flow were done) so it cools with fluid circulation, that will cool it down faster.
If your seeing 240-60 pan temps the oil coming out of the converter is likely well over 300 so that oil already needs changing
