well I went to a show last weekend with my 2 axle gooseneck trailer with a 6k lb vehicle and the trans at first was shuttering bad on the highway goin into overdrive then started hittin od around 45 mph with full lockup, now i am noticing it will shift into od but not the gear then lockup the converter is not unlocking when shifting from 3rd to od and it slams pretty hard, is my trans on the way out? I did service it a few months back and do the adjustments, or is this part of what the diablo power puk does?

 

Explain it one more time, it is hard to read what you are saying.

 

Sell truck and get one with a manuel. It's going to be better than swapping in a manuel tranny.

 

basicly my torque converter is not unlocking when it shifts from 3rd gear to od

 

01's and 02's can stay locked ( I think 01's) when shifting to od. Mine does unless I lift the throttle a little.
It is in the computer not the trans. A very stupid idea from the factory in my opinion.

 

it was also shiftin into od areound 45 mph when loaded and towing real annoying had to shut off the od, i was on the highway so i had to turn it back on once i got to speed it was just boggin the engine way to much

 

Converter has attempted to many overloaded lockups. Stock converter and VB have met their limits. Good tranny O haul and upgrade will put you back into game again.

 

thats what i was afraid of, guess i will run her till she stops moving, it is a big expense i cannot afford right now
