trans model

how do i tell what model transmission i have in my truck?

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick

Like all the other 98's, 99, 00, 01's Diesel auto's, it is a 47RE. Probablly a few more years in addition. Just to lazy to ferret info out of memory.

The 47RE was installed from 96- to the Early 03 SO Common rails with slight VB and harness changes thru the years.

There's a tag on the side of the transmission. There should be a sticker inside the hood (look up) that shows the build information for your truck. I have a NV4500HD.
