trans. line leak, quick fix?

two of m line rubbed together and eventually made a hole in each line. its the steel lines going to and from the cooler.

could i be able to cut the section where the holes are and just reconnect with some rubber hose and clamps?

maybe cut the line where the hole is and get a couple swaglock fittings and join the lines again

i had this same problem, i dont like putting a band-aid on a gun shot wound. my transmission lines rubbed the crossmember until i got 2 pinholes in the lines. I did exactly what u asked for like a week, and it started to seep and the line pressure is only like 8-10 psi, so i ordered new lines from dodge $185 for both, costly but u know they wont leak.

I don't see any big deal in changing out the rubbing solid line for a nice flexable line made for trans fluid. Ran flex line in my street rod for the last 5 year and all is well. put hardline for the first foot or so at each end. Or put back the hardline and wait for that fantastic system to have another leak.
