I am about sick of driving with my sloppy converter. It doesn't owe me anything at 168,000 miles so I've started contemplating what to do here.

Everyone says Goerend is the best but I'm looking at $3550 plus $460 shipping (with core going back).

I've saved enough to do it though it seems like an awful lot to drop on a tranny. A local shop gave me a quote of $1500 for a standard rebuild.

I don't have time for a 5 speed conversion.

Let's hear some other options!

I'm in the same saame boat now. A sloppy drive trans thats ready to go. I also got a quote for $1600 but standart rebuild mine. $3500 seems high now at this time. Any options??!!
