Tranny or T.C. ?

I have developed a shudder which is kinda strange and I think it might be the T.C. it just started yesterday and at first I thought it might be the brakes let me explain. When I stop just before the truck comes to a complete stop I feel a stutter which feel a little like a brake hanging up. It does it everytime I stop but it didn't feel exactly like a brake problem so when I stopped net I shifted into neutral and then stopped no shutter. so I tried a few more time and found that everytimeI stopped with the tranny in gear I got the shutter. Everytime I stopped with the tranny in nuetral no stutter, So the next thing I did is to slow down and the stop the pedal well I felt a good shutter then so I think I have a drivetrain component problem. I have not bombed the Truck Yet as it has 77,200 on it and I want the warranty thru 100,000 so I have not done too much to hurt the tranny. I do pull a couple of boats up to 12,000 lbs but mostly about 5500 lbs on my 25' boat + trailer I wonder if it is in the electrical conection on the lock up converter as it seemed to have happened so suddenly. Anyhow if you have some suggestions please send em on I can put the T.C. in myself but if I have to get into the tranny I will prolly find a shop to do it.

I flashed the JTEC controllers on some 01 V-10 trucks for torque convertor staying engaged when coming up to a stop. It actually occured to me when I used my bosses v-10 truck and I pulled up to a stop and the truck lurched and died just like not pushing in the clutch on a manual. I don't believe there was ever a tsb on it, but updating the JTEC (power train controller) took care of the prob. That would be the cheapest thing to try first.

Are you sure it's not just downshifting to 1st. right before you come to a complete stop? Mine does that.
