FWIW .... I have an 05 3500, and have devoloped a rattle as well, and thought it could be the tranny. Discovered it after putting a cold air kit, removing silencer ring, and adding edge J/A , and thought that I was going to have to take everything back out. Turns out the rattle in mine is exhaust related, and I first noticed it when cruising at the same speeds as you then going back into the throttle. Tried sitting in driveway and duplicating it at the same r.p.m's while a freind hunted the noise down ... and he grabbed the exhaust while underneath and it stopped. Hopefully this may help.
