tranny question

how do i find out what kind af tranny is in my truck 2001 dodge cummins 2500 ext cab short bed automatic. it will shift from first to second then wont go any farther than that.

47RE is in your truck. Most likely governor pressure solenoid and sensor. Very common in these trannies.
