Tranny Lurch

I have an issue with my transmission I think. It seems that when doing approx 10 to 12 miles per hour the tranny lurches a little like maybe it wants to shift then changes its mind over and over. If I give it more gas then it shifts and everything is fine. If I keep the fuel steady then it will continue. Its almost like its between gears. Other than that it is fine. I mean other than I really dont like the shift points. Is there anything I can do to it besides spending 3 or 4 grand on a new tranny. I mgiht do that anyway but not right now.

APPS reset should fix your problem.

Sounds like you want one of these for about $400.00. Then you can upgrade the rest later. http://www.suncoastconverters.com/dodge/valve_body.htm
You should still do the APPS reset.

BigBlue,

Ok I reset the APPS today. So far it seems to have worked, The tranny seems to be shifting alot better. I also changed the fuel filter and it sure looked like it needed it. All in all it seems like it is running much better since I did the reset. Thanks Again. I will probably still end up upgrading the trans. What is the logical order for upgrading it?? I cant afford to just go drop 3 or 4 grand on a new tranny and TC. Can it be done in phases?? Just wondering but Im not ready for tranny upgrades just yet. Next is gauges for me. Thanks Again.

Fer instance.

Do the valvebody first, then the Torque Converter starts coming apart,
clogging the passages in the VB, not good.

Do the TQ first, but you still have the stock VB that is incapable of providing enough pressure to lock the the TQ, ends up slipping and burning up.

Best to save up and do it all at once.
