I know if it has the camper package it will have extra leafs and sway bar. Can't really comment on anything else except the usual hitch, etc.

Thanks, Didn't know if it had a larger cooling package or possibly a Dana 80?
The rig is an hour and a half away from me so I can't just go back to check the rearend.
The guy thought it was a Dana 80 and I didn't know how to tell the difference at the time but I have found how to tell since.
It does have the extra leafs, 7 pin plugs (1 for 5th wheel)
and 5000 lb hitch

I know auto's came with Dana 70 axles but was hoping the tow package would give it the Dana 80!
All I have seen is HD 2500s will have Dana 80s and didn't know if the HD package was the same as a tow package.
I did attempt to research the info but found nothing.
As you can tell, I am new to Dodge diesels so please be deal with my newby questions.
I'll get over it soon.
I am a gearhead and have been for over 30 years so I always try to find out as much as I can about a vehicle.
Thanks,
Ken

I looked into this a while back, If its an auto its not an 80. The D80's came in 6 speeds and 3500's

Check the tag in the glovebox or under the hood. It gives axle specs and gear ratios.
But yeah, d70 in the auto trucks, d80 in 3500 and all 6sp
