Tell me it's not so

Was driving up a hill last night and got half way up it and hammered on it and when i let off at the top of the hill the truck just shut off like you turned the key off and won't restart. Checked the simple things like fuel, fuse's, and air and nothing wrong. Did the VP just die or could one off the wires on it just lost connection and if so does anyone have the diagram of what the wires do and what voltage they're suppose to be getting. Thanks

Apparently if you let off the fuel pedal too quick during a WOT run, the pump air locks, crack 2 of the first 3 injectors and crank the engine over to bleed out the air. it should start...or so I've read

Crack the inlet line going to the vp frist, be sure that your LP is working. If so then try to bleed the injectors. If you have a code reader, or can get ahold of one I would read codes first to save some time. I bet you find a 1688 in it.
