strange noise during start up

Question strange noise during start up
91 dodge cummins .

it makes a winding noise when it starts and last for about 2 seconds then goes away. sounds like its coming from front driver side under hood. ant ideas

A squeak or a whine? If its cold out where you are then it may be the power steering pump making noise or if its a squeak then it may be a belt or pulley bearing.
