Steering pull and over center adjustment?
Re:Steering pull and over center adjustment?
The over center adjustment is to compensate for normal wear in the steering gear. As it loosens over many thousand of miles, it will tend to wander. Should not cause the vehicle to pull.

Charlie
Re:Steering pull and over center adjustment?
This truck has always had a pull to the right. Since the tires did not wear funny I never did anything about it. Now the truck is coming up on 100,000 miles and I am getting tired of the pull. It was recently aligned and does not wander. It acts Like you are fighting the steering pump instead of a pull. The steering wheel returns to center when released.
All ideas are welcome.

Re:Steering pull and over center adjustment?
Anyone tried these specs to get rid of the pull to the right?

http://www.dodgeram.org/tech/specs/00_steer_specs.html
Re:Steering pull and over center adjustment?
Stakeman
I have heard that before and it seems to be a common prob. Front end alignment should be in the narrower range and it should help. my $0.000002
Re:Steering pull and over center adjustment?
According to the specs posted above there should be eccentric sleeves in the upper ball joints. There are no eccentric sleeves on my truck. Why would Dodge not give you a way to adjust camber? ???

Now I am going to look for offset or adjustable ball joints.
