Question Steering dampner?

I was truckin along one of these old rock roads about 75mph and hit one heck of a pot hole it was more like a pit in the road and got what you guys call the "death wobble" my chevys did this all the time before I wised up and got a couple of dodges probably the smartest thing I have ever done. I think the problem followed me . I had the stock one on for 100k no problems no wobbles then I have been buying ranchos and it seems like every year it needs replaced . Are there any brands worth using? or are they all build so cheaply anymore that they don't last?

odds are that your track bar is toast, thus causing the death wobble. Basically your options are to buy a lifetime bar from NAPA and replace approximately every year or so depending on use, or you could buy an aftermarket bar like DT profab, or convert to a 3rd gen bar. do a search for track bar and you will find more info than you care for! The steering stabilizer is just covering up the problem.

I dunno about that. I was told by many to go put an 03-up track bar on and I put on the DSS Steering box stabilizer........... I still get the wobble and it pisses me off I blew all that money for nothing. I decided after last weeks bounce-off-the freeway that I am getting rid of the coil spring spacers and putting my last heap of cash into a www.Koreperformance.com full on ***** out lift.
Something isnt right with these trucks' front end and I'm sick of playing with it. Now if only Ford would put the Cummins in their 350 Superduty....... Yes, I said it.

I'm done with Dodge.

Off the top of my head I think it was $ 3-400. It was not too hard to install but I would lookj into everything and get as much feedback from others who have your EXACT setup. I wasted a wad of cash for nothing.

I went over the same pothole 3 time and it wobbled, I took the truck home and greased the front end and now it stopped. I was just about to go to napa and get a new one the orignal lasted me this long no point in going after market for an old farm truck. Are these track bar rebuildable? I really don't want to spend $200 on something I will break anyway **** county roads.
