starts runs and dies

starts runs and dies

ive got a 99 dodge diesel that runs fine then dies for no apparent reason, might go two weeks with no prob might go 2 days, after if dies wait 5 to ten minutes and it will start right up and run again, anybody experience this????

Sounds like fueling.

Could be vp44 goin south.

fuel pressure??

Probably fuel/air leak around o-ring on fuel heater in filter canister, Easy replace from inside canister. Just take it off and replace the o ring, 50 cents at Ace hardware.

So are you saying you have to wait 5-10 minutes before it will restart? What happens if you try to start it back up right after it dies?
