Starter contacts
So went dead in the water yesterday after a hiccup starting my truck two days ago.
Ended up being my starter contacts. An easy fix with postings on this site!
I found that using my short, swivel head 3/8" ratchet was a big help getting the top starter bolt out and back in.
If you are going to do this repair here's a list of tools needed.
8 mm end wrench
10 mm 12 point end wrench and socket
15 mm end wrench
17 mm end wrench
light
creeper, safety glasses, rags
a moving blanket or pad for lying over the engine.
Piece of cake.
