Got another question, looking at buying a 01 SWB 4X4 170K. The engine has a squeel at the front. Goes up and down with rpm and is always there. Truck runs great. Any idea what the noise could be?? I figure one of the pulleys. Any chance it could be a BIG deal?? Gears?? Looking at paying only 9500 for this truck!!!! Any help in this would be appreciated.

170 G's my idler pulley went. Same scenario, squealing with the RPM's. Quick easy way to check it: Put a little oil on the front of the pulley and let it run down into the bearing, start the truck. If all is quiet you have found the culpret!

I usta have the web site where you could just order the pulley for $27, but its not there anymore (the web site).
