Not enough boost to complete combustion... do you have any mods?

My 01 did the same thing, couldnt notice at day when driving unless i was following the truck then you sould see a little.... but at night above 2000 rpms you could see a slight haze, from the exhaust in the mirror. The truck Then was Bone stock... I wouldnt worry about it unless you are pushing out a fog line of black smoke with a stock truck...

If you are concerned about it, pull out and clean the IAT (Intake Air Temp) and MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensors and clean them with Electronics cleaner. Do not use brake cleaner, use electronics cleaner which is perfectly safe for electrical items and sensors.

I cleaned my IAt sensor (I don't have the correct socket to pull the MAP) and it helped clear the smoke some, and the IAT was filthy when I pulled it. The IAT and MAP sensors are directly involve with fueling and if they are reading funny then your fueling will be off too.
