slight misfire

So I have an 01 dodge, I've had it for about two years, it has 295 k on it. Mostly highway miles and it still runs strong, however if I've been driving it for a while and say I come to a stop, at an idle it will get a slight misfire for about twenty seconds and then it goes away, like barely even noticeable. And it only does it every once in a while. Injectors? Or fuel pressure?

congrats. you popped the Cherry with your first post.
welcome to the forum..

couple things first. You need to fill out the signature part, This will post your truck and if you have anything aftermarket that may or may not contribute to any problems you have.

codes? Do you have codes? do you know how to pull codes for free on your truck if you dont have a code reader? if not on this same folder 24 valve engine/drivetrain. There is a thread that eplains codes and how to pull them with your ignition key and cycling it.
post codes if you have any.

any recent repairs or service? when is the last time you have changed the fule filter? do you have any gauges reading you engine/fuel system etc. ??
Cummins with a VP-44 injection pump (you have this) very important to have a fuel psi gauge. that is another topic if you dont know about or much on.

Batteries. health and condition of batteries on cummins b series is the soul of this. in basic terms you truck can have eletric gremlins and act like you have issues when you really dont except low batteries and the computer acting weird. This also means all neg/positive connections and wires to and from batteries. they are clean, no rust or corrosion and good contact.

There are a ton of quick help/troubleshoot stuff on this site. just gotta look for it. Also a Search function. use advanced search on this.

post up what you have or dont have. try to pull some codes. also
is this happening on a warm engine or when the engine is cold?

Sounds like the APPS...accelerator pedal position sensor.

Set the cruise and see if it doesn't miss. If so 99% sure it is the APPS.

Replace with a TIMBO part. Search it and you will see what it is.

The APPS out of whack won't throw a code.
