1999 2500 4x4 24 valve

my truck has started skipping at idle while in park and neutral,put it in gear and it goes away anybody have a clue to the cause of this.it doesnt do it all the time but it seems to be getting worse.it runs fine going down the road no skip or sluggish responses to the fuel pedal.also the truck is idleing at 900 rpm's is there a way to turn the idle down?

 

check your fuel psi, your lift pump maybe going out.

 

Do you mean almost like a misfire when you say skipping?

Check Apps voltage on the sticker and then check actual apps voltage, if out of spec adjust apps. Sounds like it could be an idle validation prob in the apps.Your idle should be 750. Or you could just order a new apps but they are rather pricey.
