94 ctd is skipping 3rd gear
this is a newly rebuilt auto tranny in a 94 ctd 2wd regular cab.my problem is that it is skipping 3rd gear.going from a start and on the peddle shifts out of first just fine then into second gear, the rpms hit about 2200 or some where in their then into 3rd then strait into overdrive.im kind of tired of taking the truck to this guy.this will be the 3rd time with problems from his mistakes(with in 4 months)he also striped 4 of the pan bolts that i had to redrill and tap because it was pouring atf.the shift from second to third then overdrive is with in a few second of each other.any suggestions would be greatly appriciated.

Sounds like it's his problem, if you do not recieve satisfactory repairs you should inform him that you are going to take more action against him and his shop. You are right that the transmission should not act this way. If he cannot or will not help you take it to another shop.
