Acccelerator Pedal Position Sensor.

Here's the reset procuder from the tech facts section
(link up above on the main logo)

This procedure has shown to help 24 valve ISB engines. It is basically teaching the fly by wire accelerator on these trucks to reread the position of the pedal and it's limits. Most complaints this will help with is poor acceleration, improper shifting, bucking in 5 and 6 speeds. Has been known to increase fuel mileage in some instances.

1. Set parking brake
2. Disconnect negative battery cables on both batteries
3. Turn ignition key to run(to drain any remaining capacitors)
4. Let truck sit for 30 minutes( this is the recommended minimum)
5. Return ignition to OFF position
6. Reconnect both batteries and secure, not a timed event
7. Turn key to run position(not start) and depress accelerator pedal slowly all the way to the floor
8. Allow pedal to return to top position slowly
9. Turn ignition switch OFF
10.Release parking brake

Replacing your LP is fairly simple. I do it from the top by removing the fuel filter canister and setting it out of the way.

Take the two bolts out of the filter housing and detach the inlet side hose from the LiftPump. Set it aside so you can get your hands down to the three bolts that hole the LP on that PIA bracket. Take the hoses off the pump then take the bolts loose. (Second thought..... they might be three nuts attaching the LP, anyway you get my drift) Unplug that bad boy and reverse procedure putting all back together.

Your filter housing 'should' have a bunch of fuel in it. Bump the starter (turn it over without starting) and you will hear the new LP purring away. Do this two or three times then go ahead and fire it up. I prolly will fire on the first one but I would do this to assure that you have no air and dont have to bleed the system to get it to fire up.

This is just off-the-cuff directions and pretty vague. If you search for LP replacement directions you will find hours worth of reading.

Good luck
Mark

Reset the APPS, and try cleaning the IAT with carb/choke cleaner.
The IAT is the next set of wires going into the block rear of the map sensor (from the filter housing the first plug to the rear of the block is the MAP, then the second is IAT.) Use a deep socket 13/16 and a 3 inch extension. Its not very tight (10ft-lbs or so) Take it out, spray the bejeesus out of it with carb/choke and put it back in. I was surprised what it did for mine and now clean it every 20K or so.

Again Good luck
