Service emergency brake

I was needing to tighten up my emergency brake,Its completly shot or stretched or something. Do these have there own pad or can you adjust them or do I need to replace and if so where can I get what I need besides Dodge? Also what do you guys recommend for shocks mine needs replaced I spend very little time on the hiway most is offroad and gravel roads. 02 3/4 5sp,Thanks Jake

The "emergency" brake on a rear disc truck such as yours is actually still a drum.
There will be a mini drum brake setup on the flip side of the disc, so yes, it has it's own pads or shoes.

There isn't much adjustability though, Dodges parking brake system has been iffy for years, never trust it to keep your truck where you parked it.

As to the shocks, Bilstiens or Ranchos seem to be the two favorites.
