schrader valve on VP44 - JIC or SAE fitting?

I bought my '02 on March 6th, and have only put about 150 miles on it since bringing it home. I need to check fuel pressure before driving it any further. Is the schrader valve test port a JIC fitting or SAE fitting? I had no idea there was a difference until looking at the following site, http://www.kurthydraulics.com/threads.php. I do know it's size is a -4, but not whether it is a JIC or SAE. I'm rigging up a temporary guage setup for the test.

Thanks.

Roy

I have heard that an old Freon adder for an auto AC system will fit the schrader valve, but I haven't tried it. The threads are JIC.

I had a hose outfit in town build me an 8' hose with -4 Female JIC on one end and 1/4" Female NPT on the other end. It worked perfect to check pressure after work today.

I used an old automotive R12 freon charge hose for mine. Had an adapter made for the gauge end.
