Replace bolts or lok-tight?

I'm getting ready to put my NV4500 tranny back in when I get it back in a couple of days, along with the updated BB pilot bearing from Quad 4X4, which means the flywheel goes to the machine shop for boring and so on. My question: do any of these flywheel bolts (or any others) have to be lok-tighted or replaced, or are they all reusable? I'm wondering if the flywheel bolts go all the way into where the oil is, like on some engines. Thanks for your replys.

I just put a South Bend CON OFE, repair manual said never reuse flywheel bolts, always buy new, I did, had to get mine from Chrysler, took a week to get them from Toronto, what a Joke. If you take the bold to a Heavy Duty clutch shop, they may be able to measure the bolts and sub a Jobber bolt. I had called Westrans in Winnipeg, they said that if they had the bolt they could measure and source. Don't know if you have a shop like that in your area. In conclusion, use new bolts, use lok tite red.

Hey, thanks for the tip! I had a sneaking suspicion there might be something like that I need to do...now I'll have to get them ordered!

$4.95 CDN per bolt, you need 8.

Yup! Got 'em ordered. That's what the local dealer said they were here, but in US$ of course. Then he said he would give them to me for $2.85 each, which was nice of him! Of course, I'm assuming they are new!
