Removing "Quick Connect" from LP Inlet

Hey board,

I'm about to take on my fuel system upgrade project. Wondering as I looked over everything before starting.........my LP appears to have a quick coupler of some sort on the inlet side. How does this come apart ? Similar to an air compressor quick connect ? Just didnt want to break anything.......thanks for any insight.

There are 2 plastic tabs sticking out of the end of the coupler. Just give them a squeeze with your fingers. They usually aren't too stubborn.

Thanks torquefan;

I typically dont have very good luck with these "plastic" components.....things tend to break on me. Appreciate the insight,.....might save an emergency trip to the dealer to replace a broken plastic coupler.

Do your truck a favor and get rid of the Quick connector. The banjo eye on the end of the QD joint has a fuel port of only .170 (less than 3/16ths). Upgrade from the SS fuel feed line on the frame (use 3/8ths hose here).
