I want to replace the quick-connect hose from the tank to the LP. After doing several searches it looks to me like the hose ID is 3/8ths. Also, it looks like I will need a 4 foot section to go from the end of the metal line to the LP. The reason for doing this is so that I can use a regular hose clamp to avoid any possible air leaks at the quick-connect fitting. I looked at the labeling on the existing hose and it appears to be high pressure metric, but the size is not readable. Obviously I want to get a hose that is compatible with diesel fuel. I'm not sure about the Gates fuel line hoses; I know that the Goodyear Hysunite hose available at Summit Racing is ok but I don't need a 25 foot length. Also, is the fuel return hose the same size?

 

I used 5/16" hose (both were the same) on my 2001...No problems yet.
