Recommendations for Instruments

So it is time after LP and IP failure and replacement to get serious about an instrument package. At least LP pressure plus exhaust gas temperature and boost pressure, I think. LP pressure should be an electronic sensor so no fuel line is run into the cab.

What are the recommendations out there for products and paramaters measured? Value? Poor product performance? Good product performance? Ease of installation? etc.

FYI: After the LP and IP replacement, I did a 365 mile trip with a light load at elevations above 7000 feet and kept the speed less than 60 miles per hour .... 21.8 miles per gallon calculated, and 22 mpg on the console. The engine noise level is noticably lower.

There is also the Quadzilla commander that is digital and with a pillar mount makes a nice clean install.

Mo,

Which boost pressure gauge range did you get? 0-35 psi for running a stock set up, I assume.

I got the 0-60 psi gauge, The 0-35 would be fine if completly stock but if you plan on any mods in the future you might as well get a 0-60 in my opinion. You can get 30 psi out of a stock turbo with any box that does boost fooling and a boost elbow.

Also the mechanical fuel pressure gauge that comes in there kit comes with an isolator, which keeps the diesel outside of the cab and you fill the part that goes inside with antifreeze. Most people on here say not to bother with the isolator becousze its nothing but a pain in the butt. I used it on mine becouse it came with the kit and haven't had any problems.

You can choose to delete the isolator, he'll back the price out of the kit.
