A guy messaged me offering me this : ] Craigslist ads not allowed on DTR

I would like to know if you all think this is a worthy trade. I have talked to him and he says that it runs like new. AC and heater works, Cruise works.

Your bike looks 10x better shape and looked after than the truck. If the truck wasn't all dinged up, then ya, it maybe would be an ok trade but with all those dings on there it, that to me is a sign of neglect. And those small dings are my pet peeve!

Now granted there are some good things about this one:
Examples: a 2wd - so you know that it didn't go through the swamp
2001 - if it is an 01.5 that may be one of the best years to have.

But jeez though, the amount of body work that thing would need to make it look respectable would probably cost more than the whole truck is worth.

I'd hold onto your bike for this one dude. There are a lot more trucks out there that in better shape than that. When you see it, you'll know.

Any idea what your bike is worth today? I don't really know bikes that well...

Unless you are in fact looking for a work truck....

But if I needed a work truck I'd get a gasser and a long box!

Truck is worth what he's asking but it is very beat up. My thought is you wouldn't be happy considering how meticulous your bike looks! Sorry don't know the value of your bike.

Meaning I gave 1500.00 in all for the bike.

Why would a 01.5 be the best model ever? How can you tell if that is what it is?

Rear disc brakes, designated as standard equipment.

Were available and showed up on a lot of late 2000 models and some say even earlier.

Didn't have the weird disconnect for front end 2002 models had.

Also, the 2001.5 had the larger diameter input shaft for the 6-speed and the lube passage at the rear of the trans so theoretically you didn't need the extra pint to lube 6th gear...

Just my opinion, but craig's list will put you in some interesting company......
