quick release drain plug

Wow! I put this thing on a while ago and was just waiting to try it out. Well, time came. It was a pleasure doing the oil change. The fitting when mounted, heated up from the oil and lubed up was actually pretty easy to turn. When it was new in the box, you almost had to put it in a vice to turn it open. I guess the oil did it. Works well. very quick and painless. No more burning finger tips and getting splashed with hot oil. Well, its to a minimum anyway.

Great piece.

I bought one of those from Geno's Garage. When I looked at how far below the pan it extended, I decided not to use it. I was afraid I might high-center the truck sometime and rip it right off the pan. I settled for the aftermarket drain plug that uses a 9/16" socket. Sold the quick-release drain plug on Ebay.

Thats the one I have, doesn't hang down low, no valves that might accidently be open. Worth the money IMO.
