Question on injection pumps
Question on injection pumps
My injection pump died on my 2000 Auto.
Any ideas as to what pumps I can use on this truck?
I was tolled I could use any pump from 98-02 from a person at an injection shop with the HO pumps causing a little smoke due to higher injection pressures causing earlier timing with my stock injectors. Does any body have real world experience with mixing pumps from other years?

Just order the correct pump from your local diesel injection shop, or an aftermarket Beefed-Up pump from a diesel performance shop.
Miss-matched or used pumps are false economy.
It's about a 4 hour job to replace an injection pump.
You'll just end up wishing you'd done it correctly the first time.
