A first for this truck I was hauling a farm tractor so the engine was well up to operating temp . I stoped by a store let the truck idle for 3 or 4 min then shut it off . In about 10 min when I tryed to restart it would only click . I paused for a minute or so an tryed again it turned slow but started . Its started ever since, I checked the battery cables an chargeing system everything seems normal . This truck has 140000 mi on an as far as know it has the original starter . I forgot to mention I think the bendix hung in for a minute or so after that hard start . Does this sound like a silanoid sticking ? How many miles are people normally getting out of a starter ?

 

well with that many miles you might be money ahead to get the upgraded soleniod kit from geno's garage and replace it. if the solenoid is the culprit, the kit is the cure.

 

So they have a improved version better than OEM . Geno's Garage how do I contact them .
