Hey! Welcome to the DTR!

The best suggestion I can think of is to install a set of gauges. EGT, Boost, and Fuel Pressure.

The fuel pressure gauge is the most important in my opinion, as all of the 24V trucks have the chance of the electric lift pump going out. A gauge is cheap insurance to save your VP44.

There are a lot of good guys on this site, and we will all gladly help ya.

Re:please be patient

On the whole, the Dodge/CTD seems to be a reliable combination. Due to the nature of this site, however, it might seem that they are riddled w/ problems. There is a great deal of in depth discussion with respect to many items that have had a higher rate of failure.

One of these items that can affect anyone, modified or not, is the fuel transfer pump. Failure of this pump can lead to the failure of the injector pump. A co$tly repair. A fuel pressure gauge is highly recommended to monitor the pressure, and thefore diagnose a weakening transfer pump before complete failure.

Welcome to the site!

edit - guess I gotta learn to type faster ;D

Re:please be patient

just put a pressure gauge on it and check it , your still under warranty till 100k form that part the spec's say that it should not be less then 8 psiat wot. if it is less then 10 its weak at WOT at idle it should be around 15. you'll have to convince the dealer that its bad to get replaced under warranty . if you want to replace it yourself then buy it from cummins they are cheaper
