Fuel pressure line question
Fuel pressure line question
I am doing fuel pressure guage install tomorrow. On my '99, how does the grease gun hose hook to the top of the fuel filter housing? Also installing boost guage & pyrometer guage. Any suggestions on how to make the install on all these go smooth would be greatly appreciated.

Re:Fuel pressure line question

Re:Fuel pressure line question
If you want it to read post filter pull out the 1/8" npt plug that is towards the front of the motor. The grease gun hose will screw right in.

For egt guage installs I back the turbo off and use masking tape over the turbo holes. This keeps all the metal pieces from getting into the turbo and it makes it easier to run a magnet in to fish any loose pieces out. If you take the top two turbo nuts off and loosen the bottom two you can pull the turbo back until it catches on the manifold studs.

The boost guage depends on how you are tapping into the system. I use the plug in the intake manifold next to the map sensor. I think it uses a 1/2" ratchet and a extension to remove it. It might even take a breaker bar if it has been in there awhile.

Have fun
Nathan
