Re:Oil Filter

You can get the shell rotella a little cheaper at advance auto or another place like that but it you are buying the filters by the case get the oil there too. It isn't that much higher than the cheaper place.
Make sure the oil is rated CI-4 that is the newer better stuff. The Donnelsons filters may be on the list I can't recall I will hunt the list for you to look at.

Re:Oil Filter

Slimchase, YES do get rid of that FRAM! They have been known to kill Cummins engines. Great for cars, but not ours. From what I've read, they tend to fall apart and plug things like oil passages and the spray nozzles on your connecting rods. BAD JU-JU. As always, don't forget to fill the new filter when it's installed.
Greg

Re:Oil Filter

I didn't think much about it when I bought it because on my PSD the Motorcraft the Pro line and the Puralator were identical filters. Same price too. Oh well guess I will go get me a new one to put on today.
Chase

Re:Oil Filter

I buy my own oil and filter and then take it to my trusted mechanic. Shell oil or Amsoil and Fleetguard Stratopore filter.

KC
