oil change

oil change

What happens to the extra oil if you put more than 11 quarts in?

It'll get used up eventually. How much extra did you put in? If it's just a quart don't worry about it. Way too much - like an extra gallon - will be too high in the pan and the crank and rods will churn a bunch of air into it which isn't good for the bearings.

Well i put in 11 ran the truck checked it and it was low so i put another quart in now it is just above the full mark.
