NV5600 shift tower part #
NV5600 shift tower part #
My shifter is real "loose" and "sloppy" is there any parts in
the shifter assembly that can be replaced, like a bushing
or the "cup" that the ball of the shift rod rests in ? Any part
numbers that you can post ,or even better would be a diagram
of the complte shifter assembly with parts breakdown.

Dealer wants $170.00 for the whole shifter tower. Has anyone
here removed the shifter tower on their trans ? What does the
area where the shifter rod connects to the transmission look like ?
Is there parts that look like they can wear and cause a loose
feeling in the shifter stick ?

all i gotta say is that it looks like a MESS! been there, done that. Got the grease on the t-shirt. (
sorry, i know it was lame)
Yes, i have removed all the rods and pins and springs and little bb sized ***** and syncros and all that jazz on the inside of my trans. and all i gotta say is that i wouldnt do it again for the world.
If you insist on doing this, MAKE SURE to have a very very clean work bench and lots of plastic bags, masking tape and a sharpie. Lable everything and where it goes and make sure not to lose anything. When you put it back to gether be prepared to take it apart 3 or 4 times because you WILL forget something. like shifter forks, misc. pins, and all that stuff.
