From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
Assuming your alt tested good at friendly parts store.
With engine running (CAREFULLY) test voltage at green wire(?) of two wire connector. It should be approx bat. voltage. IF not bat voltage you may have damaged wire from relay or bad relay or fuse in PDC.
Now with terminal connected and engine running (CAREFULY) test voltage on blue (?) wire. If the voltage is still approx bat voltage, the wire to PCM (right side cowl) is open or PCM is not controlling rotor field.
Color of wires may vary. One supplies current to rotor and other controls rotor field strength.

Alt. tested good. The body shop is sending it to the dealer to diagnose and repair the 1698 issue. While it's at the dealer, should I tell them I want NO computer flashes? Are there any GOOD flashes that I need to get caught up with (besides hi idle/ 3 cyl. idle)? Dealer hasn't touched it since '01. I'm kinda spooked that they are going to have their hands on it...
