Morning all. I'm having a huge issue here. When I go to start truck all the chimes and lights work on dash but I don't get the wts light nor do I hear the big woushing sound and the engine will not crank. I can hear the relays clicking in both the dash and under the hood. I'm at my wits end please help!

By woushing sound I am assuming you mean the starter is not turning. When you turn the key to start do the dash lights go out? Manual or automatic transmission? Could be the neutral safety switch or the clutch switch. Where are you located? What is the temperature when you are starting? the wait to start will only come on below 60 degrees. We kind of need more info.

It is common for the starter contacts to go out on these 2nd gen trucks. If u can get sum1 under the truck to listen while u turn key over to start, see if the clicking is coming from the starter.

I just repaired mine for $11.00.

You will need new starter contact and a 12 point 10mm wrench and I think a 15mm and a 8mm to get the starter out.

What year/model truck do you have? Are you talking about teh lift pump priming when you say whoushing sound?
