Question new sound, under load. normal?

well, this may be a dumb question, but i dont know if this is a normal sound or not... was just under load for the first time with my ’new truck’ 01 24v, towing about 9000# total, going up hill, when I was getting on it and boost was at 20 or so, id let off the pedal and hear a loud windy noise unlike anything ive heard yet (though i havent pulled with a turbo diesel before either). The sound of the turbo ‘relaxing’ was similar to going through a puddle on the right front side of the truck if that makes any sense- it wasn’t water, just that sound, and again, it was unlike any sound id heard without a load, and ive gotten on the pedal before.
Is this normal?

It's not what you should try to do. A crown and a root canal would cost in the same neighborhood as a new turbo.
