Couldn't be happier. every thing works except the drivers heated seat. Lost of power, at 16k I think I got a good deal.
also purchased an extended warranty and will have a dealership go thru it bumper to bumper. then I get a new tourqe converter for the first upgrade.

Well happy to hear ya are happy with it, Good start with the converter. Id throw a pyro, boost and a fuel Press. gauge in also. then if you choose to add some bombs, then you are set. If you dont add power you will at least try to prevent the VP44 from going out before its too late with the fuel pressure gauge. Good luck. Any more questions just ask!
Great trucks. The guy I bought mine from bought an '06 in January and told me he doesn't know why he sold me the '01 because he didn't gain a thing. I will be installing the Glacier Diesel Walbro kit this month but have had no problems with my truck and couldn't be happier.

Well to put it in easy terms, that I even can understand... These engines are awesome, and all of the bugs have been worked out of them a long time ago. However the fuel lift pump (which feeds the VP-44 (fuel injection pump) flat out suck and have a tendancy to fail.) With a fuel pressure gauge you can tell when its going to fail which can prevent the replacement of the injection pump $1200+ and the truck being down on the side of a highway.
A fuel pressure gauge can also be nice when you start to pump more fuel thru the injection system, so you know that you are feeding the VP-44 enough fuel and dont burn it up. Hope this helps.

Congrats on your new truck Akdodge, the TC is a good idea. Also the addition of a good aftermarket valve body would be good too. I'm going to end up putting an aftermarket VB and TC in my truck when time allows me too. I am either going to go with a DTT or Goerends Bros, both are popular to run and are dependable from what I've read here in the site. Just do a search. The fuel pressure gauge, pyro and boost are a must to get before you start putting fuel to the engine. A vulcan Lift pump relocation kit wouldn't hurt either. I see your truck also has the rear disc brakes, you'll like that alot better than having the drums on the rear. My 2002 has them and it stops WAY better than my 95 ever did.
