New lift pump...

Well, I'm gonna be putting on a new lift pump, tomorrow. Before I drive my truck anywhere.

Just wondering if I have any optios in the same price range as replacing it with another stocker. I'm not planning on serious HP. Maybe some injectors in the 75 horse area, but thats about all. Don't have the money for a FASS.

Well, to answer my own question, it looks like I will be getting a Carter P74213 as soon as Oriley opens. The one 2 miles from me has 1 in stock according to their web page. I'm hoping that is at 7, since I have a meeting at 9.

Any opinions on that Carter?

The P74213 is the factory replacement pump I use.....coupled with a Smartfuel, it works quite well, maintains excellent WOT pressure and has lasted a very long time......I can barely drag the pressure below 9 psi with the Comp on 5x5 in top gear.

It's sold here. http://www.scottyairsystems.com

It's a fuel line upgrade that goes from the filter housing to the VP-44. From what I hear it's pretty good.

Scotty Smart Fuel Sytems Installation Instructions
It's a kit containing larger fuel lines and much better connectors that uaually results in a 1-2 PSI increase in your WOT pressures.

Is this sort of like the Max-flow kit Wildcat used to put out? (How is Rod, anyway???)

A better description would be the Fuel System designed and built by Scotty that Rod used to sell at Wildcat.

I see! Looks like a pretty good fix! I think I would put some of that stainless steel overwrap around the hoses, since rubbing could definitely pose a problem. Give me some time to raise the cash, and Scotty may have another sale!!!
