The movies are not in the theaters anymore. She is a 98 you know. You should be able to get a DVD gift set of all her conquests soon. As for me, I just walk around with hip-waders all the time as I am a little full of shinola!!
By the way, I'll send you the first edition of the gift set as soon as they are done. I guess you could say "it's in the mail" ;D

Nah. No consellor needed. Isn't Virginia for lovers :-*
However, if memory serves me correctly Virginia is also known as "The Old Dominion State" Sounds like Dodgezilla just wants dominion over all of us.

Re:New Cummins Lift Pump is on..

Not to ruin a good thread with serious stuff but my pressures are running 12 idle, 10 cruise, and 6 1/2 to 7 wot at high rpm. WOT below 2400 rpm stays at 8 or so. It spends most of its time around 10. I picked up a new pump but am holding off changing it till it gets lower. Right now it is on the first replacement at 181,000 on the truck.

Less that 5000 on a new pump - 12 psi @ Idle 10 psi @ Cruise and 6 psi @ 5X5 WOT - Makin soot!

I hate to say this but the 12 idle seems to be what the pressure is governed for. It never exceeds that in any case. Down a long hill it stays there right at 12.

Re:New Cummins Lift Pump is on..

When I installed my gauges over a year ago, I had 12-13 @ idle, 10-11 @ 65 cruise, and never dropped below 8-9 WOT.
Just took mine to the dealer this morning with 9 @ idle, 7-8 @ cruise and 3.5-5 @ WOT. >
Good news is that the dealer is ordering the pump today and replacement is covered under the 5year/100k warranty. ;D ;D I'm a Happy Camper now! ;D ;D

Note: This truck is and has been stock since it was new. I now have 56,000 miles on the clock.

Re:New Cummins Lift Pump is on..

Ok someone with connections needs to unscramble which is the best pump to replace with. The first time that mine was replaced I hasseled with the parts man at Cummins and he referenced the computer for several upgrades and came up with part number 3990105. A couple of days ago I went to Cummins and purchased another pump and was assured that it was the latest upgrade and it is part number 3990104 so it is an older build than the last one. In threads here I have seen the 3990082 pump said to be the latest, obvoulsly not the case either. I would like to know the differences in the pumps, they all look the same as long as you get the pump with no attached pigtail. Cummins does not recommend the older pump with the pigtail on it but sells the adaptor pigtail for it. There are possibly pressure/longivity differences, anyone know or can find out? I can still exchange this one before I install it. I think that in the near future I will install two of these parallel near the tank. That should cure the pressure problems. I will add a port to check the individual pressures when I see a drop. That way I am using stock cummins parts that can be bought on the road and have double the backup capacity. I am not impressed too much with the pusher idea, but would rather build the volume and have some back up if one goes weak.

Re:New Cummins Lift Pump is on..

I went with the part number that was posted on the first page of this thread by someone else. The Cummins guy had a hard time finding it for some reason but eventually did. It works just fine as you can see by my pressures. My service manual says that 10psi @ idle is the minimum pressure you want from this pump. Judging by many posts I have seen, the Holley black pump seems to give you 1-2 psi more pressure than the Cummins part. Be prepared to pay double if you buy a pump at the Dodge dealer if you are not under warranty..

Re:New Cummins Lift Pump is on..

Just had my first experience with a dying lift pump :'(
...cruising done the highway one minute...static display the next...fortunately the nearest Dodge dealer was 150 yds away...the bad news it was Sunday night...the good news that a total stranger (drivin a 3500 CTD ) came to our rescue (on his way home from a Bible study, thank God )and drove us to the nearest hotel...Monday am at the Dodge dealer....quick check (68,000 miles) and presto ...free lift pump from Dodge..absolutely no questions...and me the second owner....if you're ever in Columbus,Tx go have coffee with the local dealer there...and tell a good hunting story...they love their hunting....next stop : gauges w/ a pillar, jake brake, and 4 incher turbo to tip.....plus the obligatory replacement bumpers front and rear for us Texas boys who don't believe airbags should be let out of the house much less put on the dash of MY truck......
