New brake system??

Ok I made an earlier post about my brakes, BUT heres a new one. Ive done a complete and I mean complete overhaul on the brake system on my truck everything is brand new except the front calipers on the truck. Ive even replaced every single, well Im in the process of replacing every single brake line as we speak on the truck, now when I get down to bleeding the truck HOW will I do the ABS ive read on here posts about having a scanner for the abs and what not whats that all about? I dont have a scanner and I aint going to the stealing dealerships no way nuh uh! And how do you bleed the ABS is another question it doesnt say how to in my 1000 page truck bible and I cant find it on a search any where on here everyone kinda tap dances around it but doesnt step by step say how to do it. And I swear I have to put another dime in this truck and its gone time for a 2011 Cummins hahahaha thanks for the help guys you all

I would think that it will bleed like normal with the engine off but I'm not totally sure either. Given that you're starting completely over, it may be worth your while to have someone with a vacuum bleeder do the job. Although, I also work on my own stuff until I cant or I haven't the proper tools for the job so I understand if you want to do it yourself. I'd try it with the engine off first and then go from there.

You have an 01. 01 FSM is on pdftown. I just bled my 00 brakes like normal when I replaced master, flex lines & rear wheel cylinders. Pay particular attention to the hardline along the drivers side frame. They tend to rust but can be patched without dropping the tank. Some 01s have all disks. Check FSM for details. It is free.

Yea I have a vacuum deal that I connect to my air compressor to bleed the brakes and as far as brake lines I replaced EVERY line on the truck all everything is new except the front calipers. Once I'm done it will durn well be a brand new brake system woohoooo!
