05 Manual Turbo on an 01 Automatic???
Thanks to a leaky vacuum pump seal and a hectic week, I forgot to keep my oil level up in my 2001 Ram, long story short, I shot the bearings in my turbo. I have a 2001 24v auto. I have a friend that has a low mile take-off from his 2005 manual truck that he says I can have. I know mine has a smaller housing for the auto tranny, I think its a Holset HY35W, I'm not sure what came stock on the 05. Is there any way I can make this work? Desperate here, I'm riding my 83 F150.
Thanks,
Jason K

yes I have an 04.5 turbo on my 01
the 05 turbo is an HE351, you will need a couple pieces to make it work (fab a down pipe flange)
dont have time to search for a link right now, but this info is easily found

Thanks for the info, I have a 4" Silverline exhaust on the truck now, not sure if that makes a difference with the flange or not. What would I do about the electronic wastegate, I don't think mine is.
first you need to know which turbo you actually have? do you have a picture or two to post? if off an 05 that turbo should only have a boost sensor on it, if so it needs to be blocked off, or leave the boost sensor screwed into it
