New annoyance

1999 3500 24v 5.9 5 speed manual, 2wd lots of fun truck.
When I start out in 2nd gear it kinda JUMPS and then smooths out or dies out. Today it did it in 3rd gear. In order to continue the engne going without much hesitation or stalling, I give it a bit of gas.

Is this normal? After i put the new (used 65K) engine, I have only driven it for about 5 months and 14K miles already. Can not feel it when you drive that you put so many mile in.

Anyway, what can I do? clutch? adjust the clutch?

Thanks

Carlos

Could very well be the clutch... But as far as I know none of these clutches can be adjusted like a guy can in a bigg truck.... Does it do it as bad in first??

Thanks

The truck is my daily driver. I just like the edited by admin thing. I carry nothing, so I always take off in 2nd. And no the hesitation is not that bad, it is one of those things, just bugs. Thanks for lending a hand and advice.
