Need some help

ok guys, my TC keeps unlocking and locking again and when it's idling it is reving up and down. I have done the APPS reset a few times. It used to help but came right back but now it doesn't do anything. So I want to clean the TPS and see if that helps. Can anyone explain where this is and how I would clean it? Also should I separate those wires from the rest? If I put them in their own casing what should I use for that? Thanks

That idling up and down sounds more like a VP44 on it's way out.

Sorry to be the bearer of such news, we are saddened by your loss.

id have to agree with the vp44 on its way out, some vp 44 when they go bad act like the apps is going bad, and the computer is trying to compensate for it so that is why the converter is in and out,id really be surprised if it were not the injection pump, the apps would make it do this too and is alot cheaper, reseting the apps works as a temporary fix most of the time, but ussually wont make it idle up and down,i may have a used apps in the shop you could try if you want,im coming to new york tomorrow, syracuse around dinner, ive definitely got one off a 01 auto truck not sure if they are the same but you are more than welcome to try it, try and unplug the edge box before anything cause that could be bad and make it do the same things too, good luck

if you are referring to the tps as the apps it is on the top of the engine, driverside front, has a black plastic cover over it with 2 screws that hold it on,be a plug that goes into the bottom of it and has like 6 bolts that come thru the side to remove it,hope it helps you
