I have two cummmins a 98.5 and a 91. My 98.5 is not running so good. Sometimes when im driving down the road it just shuts off and i put it in N and rev it alittle and it starts running again. I thought it was my injection pump. So i put a new one on its not a stock one and i have a new left pump on to. All i have on my truck right now is 50 hp injectiors, better than stock injection pump, i have a lots more mods sitting at my house ready to go on but i want to fine out whats going on first before i put the new mods on. So has anyone has have this happen to their truck or know whats going on? thanks

yea it does pop a code im going to check it tomorrow. i don't have a fuel gauge.

 

You need to try and find a way to measure FP.....what code are you getting?

 

Does it quit or go back to idle? I am betting an apps. FP is always good to know too.

 

it quits but if you push on the go padel it starts back up in.

 

So the engine dies.... never heard of that one. Did you check the codes yet? That will help us help you.
