Need some answers on a 01

??? Just purchased 01 HO six speed. How do I know which tranny I have the ETC or ETH. How can I find out what Gearing i have in the rearend. What is the best exhaust brake and Who has the best price? This truck has lost its cat and has been Y'ed with duals will this be a warranty issue with Dodge. It has 30,012 miles on it now. What is the warranty with dodge 3-36 or 7-70. What has to be done with this tranny and when. Thanks for all the info. I LOVE THIS PLACE ;D

ETC= Regular Engine<br>ETH= HO Engine which only comes with the 6spd &quot;DEE&quot; tranny<br>For Rearend gearing look for a tag held on by two differential cover bolds, it'll say either 3:54 or 4:10. Pacbrake, BD, and Jacobs all sell exhaust brakes, dunno about prices. The exhaust shouldnt be a warranty problem, if it is, find another dealer.<br>Truck warranty 3yr 36k<br>Engine warranty 5yr 100k

My 2001 HO 6-spd was a 3.73 and the glovebox tag indicated the rearend ratio.<br><br>Ronster

That truck didn't come with a catalytic converter, only a resonator and a muffler. Feel better? Open the hood and look on the passenger side on the vertical mount by the AC condenser. That will tell you if you have an ETH/ETC. It's probably an ETH since you have the six speed. Still not sure? Look on the engine data plate on the drivers side. If the HP rating is 245 it's an ETH. 235 is an ETC. If you go to a dealer and give them the VIN they can provide you with an &quot;as manufactured&quot; printout which will include gear ratio, engine, etc.

An even easier way to find the info is to open the hood and look up. There should be a sticker on the underside of the hood that tells the rear end ratio and trans and some other interesting stuff. Take a look. It will tell you some of the optional equipment installed.
