ok ni was JUST driving my truck and some wierd looking valve looking thing comes up (lights up) on the dash by were the odometer meter button is so i then did the turn the key on and off 3 times and a code of p 1693 comes up whatas this????? HELP

 

ive had that one too, after i installed my edge juice its a code that has something to do with the pcm in my case i didnt have the map sensor hooked up all the way causing that code once i pluged it back in it went off. It could also mean you are have pcm issues too if Im not mistaken

I believe the PCM is what controls the transmission. ECM controls the engine..

 

I think that is a companion code which tells you there is another code. You will need to borrow a reader to get the other code.
